Pastels glide smoothly and brilliantly across the soft, velvety surface of these Canson Mi-Teintes Velvet Pads. The silky-smooth sheets readily accept layer upon layer of color so you can achieve rich depth and stunning luminosity in your pastel work. They’re also sized internally and externally to support wet techniques, making these pads perfect for experimenting with a wide variety of artistic styles. 

Both students and professional artists will appreciate the precise detail they can achieve with this acid-free, archival-quality paper. There’s no need to apply a fixative, either—pigments adhere beautifully and retain their intensity without additional prep. Choose from a range of cool or natural tones to achieve the perfect contrast for your artistic creations. Each foldover-style pad contains 12 sheets of 264 lb (430 gsm) pastel paper.

Grey Tone – Contains 12 sheets, four each of 608 Charcoal Grey, 611 Graphite Grey, and 612 Moonstone. 
Brown Tone – Contains 12 sheets, four each of 603 Golden Beige, 605 Brown, and 613 Grey Brown.
Cool Tone – Contains 12 sheets, four each of 610 Horizon Blue, 609 Midnight Blue, and 608 Charcoal Grey.
Charcoal Black – Contains 12 sheets of 607 Charcoal Black.
Cream White – Contains 12 sheets of 601 Cream White.
